Watch these videos to learn more about your Association and how we can work better together to help establish and strengthen your church.

Stories like this one are an excellent reason to celebrate that our God is still working in His Church. God has a plan for every church in every community. One of the most important things that leaders and church members can do is surrender to His plan. We can be grateful for God's work through the partnership between Shades Mountain and McElwain and be grateful to be a part of an association like the BMBA that is committed to church revitalization. In its simplest form, church revitalization is the strategic striving of a church to be as healthy as it can be for God's glory through complete surrender. Just as every church is a little different, every revitalization strategy is a little different. God may not be calling your church to the type of revitalization that we celebrate in this video. Still, He is calling us to pursue revitalization for the sake of our neighborhoods and every soul in the Birmingham Metro area. Perhaps your story could be the next cause for celebration. If you would like to explore revitalization options for your church or would like to hear how you could partner in revitalization with another church, please contact the BMBA office. We are an Association of 180 Southern Baptist churches working together to impact our city for good and make disciples for Christ.

Birmingham Metro Baptist Association is a voluntary, cooperative effort of 180 local churches working together to serve our city through local mission projects that can go beyond our individual efforts. We are on mission to build the Kingdom of God across Metro Birmingham and beyond.

BMBA provides year-round opportunities for church members to be a Christian witness to their neighbors through local outreach projects that meet the needs of the people in our communities both physically and spiritually.

The Association brings churches together in numerous short-term and long-term volunteer projects as well as providing shared resources for each church: training for lay ministers, leadership development for church staff, and consultation on church issues.

Protect children and those who serve them with Ministry Safe. The BMBA partners with Ministry Safe to reduce the risk of sexual abuse. Our BMBA staff is trained through Ministry Safe. If your church would like to inquire about grants for utilizing Ministry Safe, contact our partners at the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions.
