Stories like this one are an excellent reason to celebrate that our God is still working in His Church. God has a plan for every church in every community. One of the most important things that leaders and church members can do is surrender to His plan. We can be grateful for God's work through the partnership between Shades Mountain and McElwain and be grateful to be a part of an association like the BMBA that is committed to church revitalization. In its simplest form, church revitalization is the strategic striving of a church to be as healthy as it can be for God's glory through complete surrender. Just as every church is a little different, every revitalization strategy is a little different. God may not be calling your church to the type of revitalization that we celebrate in this video. Still, He is calling us to pursue revitalization for the sake of our neighborhoods and every soul in the Birmingham Metro area. Perhaps your story could be the next cause for celebration.
